Understanding Home-Voice

Our idea.
An address shouldn’t start from zero with every lease.

Whoever moves out takes their knowledge of the flat with them. Home-Voice makes sure it stays – for the people who come next.

In short

What we stand for

  • We rate buildings, not people.
  • We ask about experiences, not for grades.
  • We are fair to both sides.
  • Nothing is for sale.
  • We do not sell data about you.

Why Home-Voice exists

The previous tenants know the flat. The next ones don’t yet.

In between, the flat is advertised, viewed, decided on and signed for – usually without the knowledge of those who lived there.

  • Around 2.4 million households in Switzerland rent – 61 %. (FSO, end of 2024)
  • Every year, around half a million households move. (Swiss Post)
  • Seven in ten tenants have problems with their landlord; most stay silent for fear of harming the relationship. (Rent barometer 2026, MV/Sotomo)

What this means

  • Buildings, not people. A patch of mould is not a judgement about a person but the condition of a building. Names of neighbours, caretakers or staff never appear.
  • Experiences, not grades. “How often was it too cold in winter?” says more than “How did you like the flat?”. That is why every value comes from concrete questions – explained on the page “How a value is made”.
  • Fair to both sides. Only people who lived there review. Property managers can respond. Both stand side by side.
  • Nothing for sale. No good review bought, no unpleasant one negotiated away. No value, no ranking, no seal for money.
  • No data about you. We do not sell data about you. And we never pass on who you are – not to property managers either.

What we are not

  • Not a verdict.

Home-Voice does not decide whether a flat is good or bad.

  • Not a reporting channel.

Home-Voice forwards nothing to the property manager.

  • Not legal advice.

In a dispute, the tenants’ association or the conciliation authority can help.

Our mark

The Home-Voice mark: a house as a speech bubble, with a magnifying glass and voice waves inside

A house that speaks. And transparency for everyone who searches.

  • The houseEvery address in Switzerland, with the official building data.
  • The voiceWhat tenants experienced there – verified and without names.
  • The magnifying glassStands for transparency: you find the voices before you sign.

Who is behind it

From Biel/Bienne. For all of Switzerland.

What drives me.

For me, fairness, transparency and honesty are not slogans but an attitude. With Home-Voice, I bring them where they are often missing: into the decision about a home. And I give a voice to people who have rarely been heard.

Home is where we and our families should be well. Yet we often choose a flat in a few minutes – and live with the consequences for years. Home-Voice aims to make this decision easier, with the experience of those who have already lived there.

I come from Kosovo and grew up in Switzerland. During my apprenticeship at a furniture store, I advised people on furnishing their homes. After that, in telemarketing, I helped people save costs and ran a company with up to 150 employees. Later, for a company based in French-speaking Switzerland, I built up the branch for German-speaking Switzerland with 50 employees.

I then worked for many years in network engineering and security, at a leading Swiss company in the field: I advised large companies and maintained their networks. That is why I take the protection of your data especially seriously. Alongside this, I worked on projects in finance and hospitality. Today my family comes first – and Home-Voice is my newest project.
